Today: Learn how to ask a question.

How do you engage your audience and provoke comments on your post? Ask a question! Questions create discussion. One of the best ways to get people talking is to create a discussion in the comments from a question in your post.

Remember you are here on LinkedIn to build your network and form relationships, not to directly advertise your business or brag about your accomplishments. One of the best ways to grow your network and foster those relationships is through discussion.

Engaging with the comments on your own post and engaging users through questions in your posts is one great way to do this!

You'll be able to tell quickly whether or not your question is successful in creating a discussion. Make sure your question is clear and easy to see. Sometimes leaving it at the end of the post can bury it. Consider posing the question in the first line as a hook.

The question needs to be answerable in a few words or super compelling. Otherwise, people will move on. Ask something that encourages feedback. It can be about a problem you're having or an opinion you have.
