Today: Learn how to write a strong teaser.
The first two lines of your post determine whether or not you will get readers. If your opening lines don't evoke a click of the "...see more" button, people will scroll on by.
Some of the most successful posts BEG to be opened. It should make you feel like you have to keep reading.
Ultimately the overall genre and purpose of the post can be whatever you like. You can tell a story, you can share knowledge, make an announcement, etc. But the first one or two lines are where you want to focus your time and attention, the hook.
Keep in mind this doesn't mean "clickbait." Yes, you are encouraging people to click on it. However, you still want to provide value to your network through your post.
Clickbait tends to result in little to no value and the sole purpose of the post is to get people to open it. Don't forget about your personal brand and upholding a standard of quality with your content. Hooks are good. Value-less content is not.
